The key difference is where your data lives. Cloud solutions process your recordings and AI features on their servers. With VODACIS, everything runs on your infrastructure—your recordings, transcripts, and AI processing never leave your network. This is critical for organizations with privacy requirements, regulatory compliance, or data sovereignty needs.

Privacy & Security

help Does my audio/video data go to any external servers?
No. All audio, video, and AI processing happens entirely on your VODACIS server. Nothing is sent to external cloud services, including us (Vodacis LLC).
help Can Vodacis LLC see my meetings or transcripts?
No. We have no access to your meeting content, recordings, or transcripts. Your VODACIS installation runs on your infrastructure, and we don't have remote access to it.
help Is VODACIS HIPAA compliant?
VODACIS is designed to support HIPAA compliance. Because all data stays on your infrastructure, Protected Health Information (PHI) never leaves your network. You control access and audit trails. However, compliance also depends on how you deploy and manage the system—we recommend working with your compliance team.
help How is data encrypted?
  • In transit: All connections use TLS/SSL encryption
  • At rest: Optional disk encryption (configure at OS level)
  • Passwords: Hashed with bcrypt

help How accurate is the transcription?
VODACIS uses Whisper large-v3, one of the most accurate speech recognition models available. Typical accuracy is 90-95%+ for clear audio. Accuracy depends on audio quality, speaking clarity, and background noise levels.
help What languages are supported?
Currently optimized for English (US, UK, and other variants). Additional language support is possible—contact us if you have specific language requirements.
help Can I record video calls?
Yes. Conference room calls support full video recording in MP4 format, including all participant video, screen sharing, and synchronized transcripts.

Deployment

help What's the difference between the Appliance and Software License?
  • Edge Appliance: Pre-configured hardware that's plug-and-play. Best for quick deployment with minimal IT effort.
  • Software License: Deploy on your own hardware. Best for organizations with existing infrastructure or specific requirements.
Both options include all features, private AI processing, updates, and support.
help Why is an NVIDIA GPU required?
The GPU powers real-time AI transcription. The Whisper speech recognition model runs on CUDA, which requires an NVIDIA GPU. Without a GPU, transcription would be too slow for real-time use.
help Can VODACIS work offline / air-gapped?
Yes! Since everything runs on your local server, VODACIS works without internet access. Users on your local network can make calls, record, and get transcriptions without any external connectivity.
help How many users can VODACIS support?
  • Edge 25 Appliance: Up to 25 users
  • Edge 50 Appliance: Up to 50 users
  • Software License: Depends on your hardware (typically 10-100+ users)

help What browsers are supported?
Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari (version 90+ for Chrome/Firefox/Edge, 14+ for Safari). VODACIS works on both desktop and mobile browsers.

Pricing & Support

help Are there per-user fees?
No. Unlike cloud solutions that charge $15-30 per user per month, VODACIS uses flat annual pricing regardless of user count (within your licensed tier).
help What's included in the subscription?
